El Paso de los Suenos, Gateway of Dreams, creates a gateway to the Civic Center of Sunnyvale, CA, in the heart of Silicon Valley. It is oriented to the North Star and marks the seasons, winter and summer solstices, with a changing path of light through the gateway of the sculpture. It honors a history of dream seekers, from the earliest Spanish ranchers to the current electronic innovators, and makes reference to the topography and climate of the area.
